High speed collision outside Ballymena
Police are appealing for information about a collision involving two vehicles on the Straid Road on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 9.
Constable Ruth Irvine said: “The collision involved a vehicle reported to have been driven at speed on the wrong side of the road while overtaking. The car that was overtaking collided with this oncoming vehicle, causing significant damage. The other driver did not stop at scene.
“No injuries were sustained but I believe that it is sheer good fortune that we did not see serious injuries brought about here. If anyone witnessed the collision please contact police on the 101 number.”
