A rally is being organised to ‘demand real jobs and decent wages for the people of Ballymena and secure the town’s future’.
‘Rally for a Future’ is being organised by Unite the Union and will take place at the Ballymena Bandstand on Saturday, February 2 from 12pm.
In the past 12 months alone Ballymena has received news of job losses at JTI and Michelin, two important employers in the borough.
These blows to the area has led to a rallying call by Unite the Union that something needs to be done to secure the future of Ballymena.
Residents, employers and employees in the borough are being called to make a stand and make their voice heard at the rally, banners have also been requested.
