Kells pitch plan welcomed by Swann

North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman Robin Swann has welcomed plans from Ballymena council to further improve sports facilities in Kells and Connor.

Assemblyman Swann said: “This is fantastic news from the Council that further work at the ‘Playing Fields’ has been given the green light.

“The next stage is to include the provision of a 55 metre by 44 metre, sand-filled, synthetic grass, multi-use games area, complete with ball-stop fencing, access road and paths.

“Kells and Connor have long been the forgotten villages, but the dedicated hard work of the local community association has paid off, with a number of its projects now coming to fruition. However, we know there is still a lot more to do. Special thanks must go to Connor Presbyterian Church, which worked along with Ballymena Council to make this terrific sports development possible.”
