Is local man NI's Best Dad?
ADRIAN ROBB from Ballymena could be Northern Ireland's best dad.
Adrian was nominated for the title of Aptamil 2010 Dad of the Year and has been selected by Aptamil to take part in the finals which wil be held next Tuesday, August 10, in Belfast.
At that event in Malone House the winner will be presented by Aptamil with the title, the winner's trophy and a cheque for 500.
Stefan Menet of Aptamil says, "We are delighted that Ballymena is represented in the finals of the Aptamil Dad of the Year Award and I wish Adrian all the best. Whatever the outcome, I am confident that the winner will represent all that's best about Northern Ireland Dads."
Adrian was nominated for the award by his wife, Joy, and sons Craig (3) and Harry (10 months).
They say, "Our Daddy is the best! Our Daddy gives us lots of love, cuddles and laughs - as well as good care. He takes us to the park, bakes buns and makes a mess in the kitchen! He drives us to the beach, watches cartoons and gets us to sleep which can be very testing.
“Mummy had to go into hospital for an eye operation and even though Daddy was very tired, he still looked after us very well."
Adrian will be battling for the title of Aptamil Dad of the Year with four other finalists: Trevor Hynds from Dungiven; Nigel Dinsmsore from Artigarvan; Richard Taylor from Bushmills and Sean Fields from Armagh.
Last year's winner was Stephen Jones from Portadown. This year it could be Adrian from Ballymena.
