Local student’s Recycled Art exhibited at Stormont

A LOCAL student’s work, Hannah Black, was amongst the finalists in the RiverRidge Recycling Make Art Not Waste final,which took place in the Long Gallery in Parliament Buildings last week.

Schools from around the North East and North West of Northern Ireland over the last ninemonths have been busy creating great art from waste and on Thursday 21st June 2012 in the Long Gallery in Parliament Buildings the winner was eventually chosen.

The overall winner was Hannah Neely from St Mary’s Grammar School in Magherafelt with ‘The Beauty Above the City’, a beautiful shoe.

Local finalist, Hannah Black from Slemish College had won the Ballymena Borough Council final and her artwork ‘The Recycled Window Garden’ was amongst those exhibited. Slemish College Art teacher, Caroline Quail with some of Hannah’ classmates attended the event.
