Mounted games are played in teams of five riders (or in pairs or individually) each mounting a pony. There are numerous games such as relay races or agility and dexterity games. Depending on the game, each rider must perform a different exercise such as drop off, pick up or grab objects, weave between poles and more.

All the children are dedicated to mounted games and have been training extremely hard in Ballymena in order to be selected for the Northern Ireland team.

Not only are they putting the hours in at training, they have also worked tirelessly in their fund raising efforts and recently held a table quiz in the Central Bar, Cushendall and a Night at the Races in Ballymena Rugby Club. They have also secured sponsorship from the following companies: Doagh Farm Feeds; Michelin; Transport Supplies; Abbey Upholstery; DT Carson Accountants; Kelly Flowers; Paul O’Kane Autos; Oldstone Veterinary Products; McCavana Timber Frames.
