Local Tesco staff do their bit for Clic Sargent

In a bid to meet their store target of 10,000 a pub quiz will be held in Ballymena Bowling Club on June 23 at 7.30pm which is open to tables of six people at an admission of 3 per person.

This will be followed up with a back packing day in the Ballymena store on Friday, July 9, and anyone interesting in taking part or supporting this event can contact a member of the charity committee at the store on 25816400.

Funds from the events will go towards the cost of a specialist nurse for Clic Sargent to help children spend as much time at home as possible by co-ordinating the care they need when they get home from hospital.

The specialist nurses arrange for children to have some procedures carried out at home to cut down trips to hospital, such as blood tests and chemotherapy.

They can also help to co-ordinate speech therapy, physiotherapy or arrange specialist equipment for the home, and much more.

Staff at Tesco Ballymena would appreciate the public’s support of their fund raising efforts over the coming weeks for such a worthy cause.
