Man accused of petrol thefts
A BALLYMENA man has appeared in court charged with two counts of stealing petrol from a filling station.
Aidan Murray (23), of Arran Avenue, is alleged to have stolen 30 of diesel from a filling station on December 5 and a similar amount on December 14.
Murray’s case was adjourned until April 15 at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
District Judge Des Perry suggested that an alternative charge of making off without payment should be put to the defendant on that occasion.
