A defending solicitor told Antrim Magistrates Court that Maitland had been driving a ridiculous speed.

Defence said: “He had been to Tandragee and was coming back up the motorway and needed to go to the toilet very, very urgently.”

District Judge Alan White banned Maitland from driving for four months and fined him £200 and ordered he pay the £15 levy.
