Man hospitalised following stabbing at house party

Detectives in Ballymena are investigating a stabbing incident at a house in the Argenta Walk area in the early hours of today, Monday, November 9.

A man in his 30’s was taken to hospital following an incident at a house party at around 4am. He is being treated for a serious stab wound to his back but at this stage the injury is not believed to be life threatening, a police spokesperson said.

Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said: “We believe an altercation of some kind has taken place in the house which has led to the man being stabbed and a number of males then hurriedly leaving the property.

“We are keen to identify these males and are appealing to anyone who was at the party or anyone who has any information to contact detectives in Ballymena on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
