In 2013, Mary-Frances was Artist in Residence at the Ballymena Arts Festival with her hugely successful performance installation ‘Time for Tea’ and in 2014, she was invited, as a founding member of the performance collective Curious Doings, to perform in Brussels as part of The Northern Ireland Executive Office and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Culture Night 2014 celebrations, to promote the culture and creativity of Northern Ireland.

Ahead of the New York visit, Mary-Frances is starring in ‘The Things People Say’ by Curious Doings, which is running at The Lyric Theatre from September 8-10.

‘The Things People Say’ is a devised performance exploring the idea of what people say and the impact that can have on themselves, those around them, and the wider society.

From famous speeches to local gossip, the show looks at our relationship to language and the power of words.
