Masonic boost for Royal Children’s Hospital
Mr Robin Swann, North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman, has praised the efforts of Kells Masonic Lodge which resulted in a major charity cash boost for the Barbour Ward of the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Mr Stephen Craig and Mr Gardiner McCluney presented Ward Manager Sister Grace Hamilton with a cheque for £1,000, which was raised by a table quiz held by Kells Masonic Lodge and a line dance event, which was organised by the Blue Rose Dancers. Both organisations ran fund-raising events after Assemblyman Swann’s son, Evan, spent over nine months as a patient on Barbour Ward.
Mr Swann, the Worshipful Master of Kells 990, thanked both the lodge members and line dancers for their efforts, but paid a special tribute to all the staff of Barbour Ward and thanked them for all the care and support they gave to Evan during his time on the ward.
