Mayor’s reception for bursary student
BALLYMENA Mayor, Ald PJ McAvoy gave a warm welcome in his chamber to student Paul McMurray, who has been awarded a bursary from Sentinus.
Sentinus is the home of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and provides a range of programmes designed to support the teaching and learning of these subjects with real world context. The project is based at ecos and incorporates a study of the reed bed system currently in use at ecos.
It will run over a four week period with findings and recommendations for improvements and enhancements then presented to council and the project will be displayed by Queens University.
