Held in the Neillsbrook estate, Randalstown, and organised by the local group, children taking part in the two-week scheme enjoyed a range of sporting activities and arts and crafts.

‘Away days’ included trips to Lisburn Swimming Complex, Antrim Forum, and Breckenhill Activity Centre, Doagh.

“The inclement weather unfortunately meant a lot of the activities had to be brought indoors.

“Our Group would wish to thank the following for their valued assistance: Antrim and Newtownabbey Council, Ulster Scots Community Network, South Antrim Community Network, Ballymena Youth office, Randalstown Rugby Club, and the staff at Neillsbrook Community Centre.

“Personally, I would like to thank our Group’s committee who put in a vast amount of background work - which is increasing each year - to make the scheme possible.”

Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg, added: “I am very pleased that Antrim and Newtownabbey Council were able to support this appreciated and well attended event in Neillsbrook”.
