Nicholl seeks footpath extension

ROADS Service have been called upon to consider extending the new footpath scheme between Ballymena and Cullybackey by Cllr Tommy Nicholl.

At a recent meeting between the Roads authority and Council, Mr Nicholl hailed the scheme a great success and suggested that it be continued to include the popular local road walking route stretching down as far as Galgorm Manor.

Cllr Nicholl pointed out that it was regularly used by walkers, runners and dog owners but that, in the absence of a footpath, it had the potential to be dangerous.
