“The tutors on the course provided a friendly, informal, relaxed and flexible learning environment which permitted me to maintain the work-life balance. This was very important to me before I enrolled, as I am a working mum and dedicated to life-long learning.

“While at times there seemed to not be enough hours in the day, the benefits have far outweighed the challenges and I have learned so much from my colleagues, tutors and classmates and their individual experiences.”

Jim Brown, ILM Course coordinator said: “With the recession affecting many industries and job security high on everyone’s agenda, many people are looking to Further Education for management training.

“It is the perfect way to build confidence, learn new skills and make yourself more employable. In a recent survey of all current students, approximately 20% of students completing the ILM Level 3 or 5 Diploma had been promoted while attending the course. Also, the majority of the total student group (78%) believed that the ILM course had given them better skills and more confidence.”
