'Our Thursdays' events continue at Wild Duck

AS part of this year's Arthur's Day celebrations, Guinness launched the 'Our Thursdays' showcase which is on the look out for emerging talent all over Ireland to offer them the incredible opportunity to share the stage with Snow Patrol and other amazing International artists as part of the Arthur's Day line up on September 23.

Over 800 bands applied online over June and early July for this opportunity and the Our Thursdays showcases continue this week in pubs all over the country including the Wild Duck Inn, Portglenone.

Bands are performing free of charge each night over three Thursdays with the final one this Thursday, August 5, when once again music fans will get to vote, via text, for their favourite act.

Once the music fans decide on their favourite act on the night, the three winning bands will then go up against each other on the fourth and final night to be in with a chance to secure a place at one of the regional showcase events taking place in Cork, Galway, Dublin and Belfast on August 26

Each of the four regional showcases will take place on 26th August and at that stage four lucky bands will be selected by music industry experts to perform at the national showcase in Belfast on September 2.

The lucky band selected to play in Dublin will perform alongside Snow Patrol on September 23 at Hopstore 13, at St James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin.
