Deputy Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Timothy Gaston, has said an overnight petrol bomb attack in Ballymena could have resulted in fatalities.
“I was deeply saddened to wake up to the news this morning of an overnight petrol bomb attack in Ballykeel.
“While I am relieved that no one was injured in the attack, it could very easily have led to serious injuries or even death.
“Whatever rationale the criminals involved in this may use, it is not for them to take matters in to their own hands.
“There is no place in society for such criminal behaviour, and anyone with information should contact the PSNI,” added Councillor Gaston.
