Petrol bombs thrown in '˜reckless attack' at Ballymena house

Police are appealing for witnesses following the attempted petrol bombing of a house in the Lantarra area of Ballymena last night (Friday).

It is understood the incident occurred shortly before midnight with petrol bombs being thrown at the window of the property but failing to ignite.

PSNI Constable McToal said: “ This was an extremely reckless attack and it is fortunate that the were no injuries as a result of it.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have information which may assist the investigation to contact police at Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 1463 24/03/17.

“Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
