Police appeal: car may have been used in attack

Detectives investigating the shooting of a 21 year old man in Portrush on Tuesday November 12, are asking the public for information relating to the movements of a 2001 navy blue Citroen Xsara car.

The registration number of the car is BNZ 8428, which also had a peg wedged into the bottom of the drivers window, potentially distinguishing it from similar vehicles.

It is thought that the car may be linked to those involved in the paramilitary style attack which left this young man with serious injuries to his legs.

Anyone who may have noticed the car in the Coleraine triangle area between 01 November to the 25 November is asked to contact detectives on 0845 600 8000 or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
