Pride of the Maine Flute Band annual Competition Parade on Saturday

The parade, which will once again feature a wide range of bands from throughout the province, will be led by Ballymaconnelly Sons of Conquerors.

Pride of the Maine FB decided a few years back to shorten the route on the Saturday night to make it

a very family orientated event.

This year, the parade will start at approximately 8.15pm and the route will be Castle Street, Bridge Street, Harryville Bridge, Larne Road, Paradise Avenue, Douglas Terrace, Queen Street, Harryville Bridge, Bridge Street, North Road, Pentagon, Lower Mill Street, Wellington Street, Ballymoney Street, William Street, Broughshane Street, Church Street and finishing back on Castle Street.

The band have extended thanks to the PSNI for their support in this event and the general public for their generous support over the past years.

A spokesperson for the band also pointed out that they fully support the local policy of no on street drinking.
