A Ballymena firm is celebrating after winning the Invest NI Award for Growth 2015 at the Prince’s Trust Recognition Awards.
Co-director of pallet courier specialists - ‘Put It On A Pallet’ - Tony Rodgers collected the award from Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister, Arleen Foster, at the recent glittering ceremony in the Titanic Building, Belfast, hosted by BBC’s Mark Simpson.
It’s the first award won by the local transport company who are now in their second year and growing at a steady rate.
Put It On A Pallet.com is an online booking company who have put together a distribution network to provide a door-to-door pallet collection and delivery service throughout Europe and who have been helping other Northern Irish businesses grow by shipping large and heavy items overseas as well as importing them.
Each pallet has a maximum weight allowance of 1000kgs and up to two metres high - ensuring that large and heavy items can be collected and delivered anywhere with ease.
“We help local businesses sell their products overseas and we deliver to the international port of their choice” said co-director Tony, who started the company with his sister Rebecca after taking part in the Princes Trust Enterprise Programme.
He added: “We would like to thank our partners in Northern Ireland and in the Republic as well as those across the water in mainland United Kingdom who do such an excellent job for us collecting and delivering pallets.”
