Purse stolen from car parked at church in Randalstown

Police in Randalstown are investigating the theft of a purse from inside a car parked in the grounds of a church on Magheralane Road sometime between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on Saturday, October 10.

Constable Mallon explained: “A red leather purse was taken after the window of the car was broken.”

This follows on from a number of previous incidents in the Antrim Area over the past few weeks.

On Saturday, October 31, criminal damage was caused to vehicles parked at three churches.

At Drummaul Parish Church, Randalstown, two tyres of a car were slashed.

Meanwhile, at Second Donegore Presbyterian Church, Parkgate, a rear window of a car was broken and handbag stolen.

And a handbag was stolen from a car parked at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Toomebridge.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity at any of the church grounds.

They are also reminding motorists not to leave valuable items in unattended cars.
