Radio Cracker can't 'thank-you' enough

SIR - The success of Radio Cracker has left the organisers with a problem.

Because the people of Ballymena have got behind the project to such an extent, it is becoming more difficult to give a proper thanks to all those individuals and firms who subscribe to our Third World appeal.

All our workers are volunteers with limited time at their disposal and as most of our donations come in during the few days before Christmas, the treasurer and her assistant are up to their ears doing ‘all things decently and in order’ as they record, count and bank the thousands of coins and hundreds of bank notes and cheques that come from our generous supporters.

We are not complaining, in fact we are delighted that God continues to touch people’s hearts, wallets and purses in the way He does.

We know that the people who subscribe and help in many other ways don’t do it for thanks but we don’t want any of them to think we are taking their support for granted.

I would, therefore, be obliged if you could convey our appreciation to the people of this district for their part in raising another 89,000 to relieve suffering in several Third World countries.

Yours, Jack Adams,

President,

Radio Cracker.
