I have never had an interest in politics and had a deep mistrust of politicians.

However, I believe in paying credit where credit is due, hence this letter.

For weeks into months, I had a problem with a government department. Phone calls and letters were totally ignored and in sheer frustrtion I turned to Ian Paisley Jnr.

Not only was the problem solved, I got an apology from the complaints section of the department.

I am 100 per cent certain that without Mr Paisley, the problem would still be present.
