RNLI thanksBallymena

The local branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution has thanked the people of Ballymena for the kind generosity during a recent collection held in the town.

A grand total of £1350.06 was raised during the collection that took place on Saturday, October 4.

No expenses were involved in making the collectuion and the total amount donated by the public has been banked in the RNLI account.

During 2013 RNLI lifeboats answered 255 calls for help and as a result 245 people were brought safely to shore by the Northern Ireland’s volunteer lifeboat crews. The RNLI lifegaurds also assisted 330 people who found themselves in difficulty.
