Road warning signs welcome

Local SF Daithí McKay has welcomed the erection of warning signage at a narrow stretch of the Townhill Road between Portglenone and Rasharkin where, he says, there have been 'a number of near misses in recent times'.

The Assemblyman says the signage was installed after he and local representative Leanne Peacock raised the need for road safety improvements along the route with Transport NI.

Mr McKay added that he is now seeking widening of the road to make it safer for pedestrians.
