Sad news about cat found in diesel barrel
Police have confirmed the cat recovered from a barrel of diesel has died.
A police spokesperson said: “From speaking to the vet this morning, the cat has passed away peacefully despite receiving all treatment possible.
“We would like to reiterate that we have no evidence that this was a case of animal cruelty.
“If anyone can help identify the owner of the cat, please contact 101 quoting incident 6 12/02/17 so we can reunite the owner with their pet.”
