Scam highlightedby Council
Ballymena Borough Council has been made aware of a situation in which an individual claiming to represent the council has tried to sell advertising space for a publication targeted at safety/care in the community.
The business owner was then contacted by an ‘agent’ in London who insisted on immediate payment upfront.
A spokesperson for the Council expressly states that this is in no way related to the council or its departments.
