Schrader charity event raises £1,300

Some of Schrader Electronics finest athletes and sports men and women took to the football pitch last Saturday in aid of the company’s two charities for 2015, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke and Cancer Research.

Some of Schrader Electronics finest athletes and sports men and women took to the football pitch last Saturday in aid of the company’s two charities for 2015, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke and Cancer Research.

Mens teams from Antrim and Carrick came together to compete for an over 30s and under 30s trophy and the ladies demonstrated some striking skills in their half time seven-a-side games.

Over 100 participants took to the pitch to raise money and they were supported by fellow colleagues from both sites, cheering from the side-lines.

Tayto very kindly supported the teams with refuelling snacks and drinks.

Schrader Electronics, part of Sensata, has a very active employee charity committee, raising thousands of pounds each year for its nominated charities.

While the two Carrick mens teams were winners on the day, taking home the silverware the overall winners of the tournament were the company’s two nominated charities who share the £1300 raised from the event.
