Self catering units approved
PLANNERS have approved a plan to create self catering accommodation and associated facilities at Rankinstown Road in Ballymena.
The application of Mr G Steele, which centres on a site adjacent to 73 Rankinstown Road, attracted two letters of support.
It involves the alteration and change of use of existing outbuildings and construction of a new two-storey building around a central courtyard to provide seven self catering units with a newly constructed single storey building (extension to one of the existing outbuildings) to house a reception area and office, together with car parking and ancillary facilities.
Approval of the application was welcomed by Cllr James Currie when it came before last Thursday nights’ Public Sector Liaison Committee meeting of Ballymena Borough Council.
