Skydivers raise over £2,500 for Tinylife

TEN courageous firmus energy employees, two of them from Antrim, took to the skies recently to raise money for local charity Tinylife.

The staff from firmus energy – the local company supplying natural gas to homes and businesses across Northern Ireland – skydived from 13,000 feet and in doing so raised over £2,500 for the charity.

Mark Prentice, managing director, firmus energy, says: “I’m very proud of our staff that they raised this significant amount for Tinylife. It was a big commitment for them and each of the skydivers gave this fundraising activity 100% commitment, which is extremely commendable.”

Antrim ladies Michelle Galbraith and Claire Kirkpatrick each fell through the sky, with the aid of a professional skydiver of course.

Michelle says: “It was nerve-racking until the point when I had actually jumped out of the plane and started to free-fall through the clouds! Falling through the sky at such great speed was a once in a lifetime experience; most importantly my colleagues and I have raised over £2,500 for Tinylife.”
