As part of the continued development of the Credit Union, the new office in Harryville will also be open on a Thursday evening from 7pm to 8pm, a Friday afternoon from 12noon to 3pm and a Saturday morning from 10am to 12noon.

Speaking ahead of the opening of their new suite, the Chairman of Slemish n tha Braid, Davy Black said: “This is a tremendous moment in the life of our Credit Union.

“Our volunteers and staff have worked tirelessly over the past number of months to ensure that this £300K plus refurbishment is a success”

Mr Black added: “The local communities in South Ballymena have been instrumental in the growth of our business over the past 20 odd years, growth which has not only allowed us to offer ‘financially inclusive’ services to our principal stakeholders and allowed us to play a major role in the regeneration of the Harryville area of Ballymena, but it has also created an local employment opportunities”
