Sports facilities to open
New and improved recreational facilities are to be officially opened at four of the borough’s villages in the coming weeks.
Following approval by councillors at committee level last week, it was agreed that Cargan’s refurbished playing field and new outdoor gym, basketball facility and teenage shelter would be opened on October 3, while new rural recreation facilities at Kells, Broughshane and Ahoghill would be opened on October 10, October 17 and November 7, respectively by the Mayor and a Rural Development representative in the presence of local primary pupils and sports clubs members.
