St Patrick’s College Principal Mrs Catherine Magee congratulated her students on their outstanding success.

Seventy-four per cent achieved five or more GCSEs at grades A*-C, with many of these results at the higher grades A*-B. There was particular success in GCSE PE, where all candidates achieved at A*-C. 100% pass rates were also recorded in French and Irish. Art & Design, Business & Communication Systems and Polish saw A*-C performance of over 90%, while this figure rises above 95% for ICT. A*-C performance above 75% was achieved by a further seven subjects - Construction; HE; History; MVRUS; Performing Arts; Science and Additional Science.”

Mrs Magee said: “These results are the culmination of a great deal of hard work on the parts of both students and teachers. I would also like to thank the parents of the young people, for the encouragement and support they have provided to their children.

“We are proud of the successes of all of our pupils, who between them have achieved 26 A* grades, 65 A’s and 149 B’s These are excellent results from children who, in many cases, had enrolled in St Patrick’s College five years ago with their confidence severely dented by the Transfer procedure.”
