Swann welcomes A26 dualling boost
The announcement of the A26 dualling scheme is “an excellent opportunity to eradicate one of the Province’s most dangerous traffic blackspots”, UUP MLA Robin Swann says.
Mr Swann added: “The Frosses gained the unfortunate reputation as being one of the worst accident blackspots, not just in North Antrim, but right across Northern Ireland.
“Although the start of this much-needed scheme will hopefully dramatically reduce the death and injury toll, we have to recognise that it is cold comfort to those families who have lost loved ones, or had family and friends hurt in accidents along this most dangerous stretch of road in the constituency.
“Let us hope that once the scheme is completed, the Frosses will become one of the safest sections of road in North Antrim,” he said.
