Taxi driver assaulted
POLICE in Ballymena are appealing for information about an assault on a taxi driver.
At about 2.30am on Monday February 7, a man approached the driver of a car at Main Street in Portglenone and asked for a lift. The driver refused and was then punched in the face and an attempt was made to pull him away from the vehicle.
At this stage the assailant left in a taxi. He was described as being aged in his late 30s, about 6ft tall and well built. He had black spiky hair, was wearing glasses and spoke with a Dunloy accent.
