Detailing the incident, Chief Inspector Stephen McCauley said: “At around 4:15pm two males pushed their way in through the front door and made off with a wallet containing cash.

“No one in the house was physically injured, however, this was a distressing incident for those involved. It is believed the culprits made off on foot towards the main road. One was wearing a baseball cap and jacket and the other had on a woollen hat.

“We are asking for anyone who was in the area and has information that could assist with our investigation to contact detectives in Ballymena on the 101 number. Alternatively, information can be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
