Three baronesses to speak in Ballymena

Baroness Nuala O’Loan will be one of three female peers to speak at a forthcoming event organised by Ballymena Church Members’ Forum.

Montgomery’s Restaurant on Ballymoney Street will be the venue on Thursday, March 26, when former Police Ombudsman Baroness Nuala O’Loan DBE from Ballymena, Labour peer Baroness May Blood MBE and Conservative peer Baroness Elizabeth Berridge will take part ‘in conversation’ from 7.30pm.

Each will have time to describe their background, upbringing and life journey to-date.

There will be an interval at 8.30pm. during which questions can be submitted by the audience and the second part of the evening will start at 8.50pm with more conversation and end at around 9.30pm after questions from the public have been answered.

This is the latest in a series of annual conversations organised by Ballymena Church Members Forum and follows other events involving such people as Rev Dr Ken Newell, Fr Gerry Reynolds, Trevor Ringland MBE, Mickey Harte, Archbishop Eamon Martin and Dr Heather Morris.

This latest evening has received funding from the Good Relations Unit of Ballymena Borough Council and

Ballymena Church Members Forum would like to express thanks for all the support and encouragement received by it from the Good Relations Unit over the years.

The March 26 evening ‘in conversation’ at Montgomery’s is open to all and an entrance fee of £5 will be payable at the door.
