Top business accolade for Annaconda

A DUNGANNON company has outstripped the competition in two separate categories of this year’s Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in association with British Airways.

Anaconda Equipment picked up the top business award at the glittering awards ceremony which was held at the Culloden Hotel and attracted the cream of the business community.

Based at Ardboe Business Park on the Kilmascally Road Anaconda design, manufacture and export a range of mobile screening and conveyor equipment for the materials processing industries.

Meanwhile, the Belfast Telegraph Awards recognize excellence in challenging times and celebrate business innovation, staying power and determination.

The second award conferred on Anaconda was the Best Small/Medium Business Award.

According to Production Director, Martin Quinn, the judges considered the company’s growth, export achievements and design innovations as key reasons for selecting Anaconda for the top business award.

“What keeps us top of our game is our unique selling points – nobody else in the world makes what

we make in the way that we make it,” said Mr Martin.

“We design and build screening equipment which is fully containerised, we drive the machine into

the container, send it across the world and someone else drives it out – and there’s no need for

specialised assembly or specialised staff when it arrives.

“As a result we send our products all over the world, often to pretty inaccessible places. You will find our products in places like Papua New Guinea and Fiji.”
