Training Centre Open Day

The family of David Layland (23) who tragically lost his life at the Biffa Waste’s Mallusk landfill site in 2008, are organising a fundraising event to coincide with the Open Day.

David’s sister, Pamela, who is a hairdressing tutor at the centre, hopes to raise plenty of money for the Red Cross, whose emergency support service supported the family during the distressing 36 hour search for her brother’s body.

The open day is also the training centre’s annual opportunity for young people and their families to have a look around and find out more about the vocational courses and apprenticeships on offer such as joinery, painting and decorating, admin and catering.
