Trial for man on false passport and drugs production charges

A MAN has been sent for Crown Court trial on charges of conspiring to produce drugs and possessing false documents and criminal property.

Zhu En Yu (35), with an address at Sandmount Drive, Galgorm, is accused of conspiring with other people to produce a class C drug, namely cannabis, on dates between December 1 2007 and June 31, 2008.

He is further charged on a date between June 1, 2008 and June 8, 2008, with having in his possession a false identity document, namely a UK passport.

Yu also faces a charge of possessing criminal property, namely credits to two bank accounts, totalling approximately 39,000.

Yu was returned for trial, in custody, to Antrim Crown Court on November 8, following a preliminary enquiry at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
