Van fire at petrol station

Local firefighters were tasked to a burning van at a Ballymena petrol station on Thursday evening.

A spokesperson for the NI Fire and Rescue Service said the fire at premises on Doury Road was reported shortly after 5pm.

She said it was well developed on the crew’s arrival, causing damage to two cars parked nearby and firefighters used two hosereel jets to extinguish the blaze which had started accidentally.
