Victim Support seeks volunteers in Ballymena

The charity, which helps victims of crime in communities and courts throughout Northern Ireland, said more volunteers are required to deliver their crucial support services in their Ballymena community service and their Witness Service at Antrim Courthouse.

Victim Support NI Volunteer Manager, Colm Keenan, said: “Volunteers are the bedrock of Victim Support NI selflessly giving up their time and using their expertise to help victims cope with the impact of crime.

“This can include providing emotional support and practical help to people in the aftermath of crime, form-filling or supporting victims and witnesses ahead of, and during, court to give them the confidence to make their voices heard.

“Currently we require more volunteers in the Ballymena area to provide support to victims of crime.

“We will be holding information sessions for anyone interested in volunteering at 3pm and 6pm on Tuesday 24th May at our office at 124 Broughshane Road, Ballymena, BT43 6EE. If you have an interest in this type of role please email [email protected] or call 02890277778.”
