Vintage fans raise funds for Marie Curie

HAWTHORN Vintage, a group of vintage enthuasiasts from Portglenone, have presented £7,250 to Marie Curie Cancer Care at a function in The Hawthorn Inn near the village.

The funds were raised as the result of a vintage vehicle gathering at the Hawthorn Inn in November, a fireside quiz, an auction and sales of a calendar depicting vintage tractors and cars and they were handed over on January 14.

All this was supported by generous sponsorship by Maine Surface Finishing - one of Ireland’s leading shot blasting, powdercoating and wet painting specialists.
