WeightWatchers 'Success' stories

WEIGHT Watchers in association with Debenhams Personal Shopper have launched another series of fashion shows for 2010.

The Templeton Hotel, Templepatrick hosted the first in the series with more to follow later in the year.

Since their inception in 2007 the ‘Success’ fashion shows have been a run-away sensation.

Linda Hamilton, marketing manager for Weight Watchers NI, said the idea for the fashion show came from Weight Watchers' members who having lost weight with the Weight Watchers programme, were eager to show off their newly found self-confidence and poise.

Debenhams were delighted to come on board and their Personal Shopper departments - who excel in choosing fashion for any shopper - use this expertise to find the perfect attire for the men and women from Weight Watchers who model at the shows.

This partnership between Weight Watchers and Debenhams has been a great success and the fashion shows have been a great platform to showcase the expertise and proficiency of both companies.

Gene Fitzpatrick, who has a long association with Weight Watchers events, became the resident host introducing guest artists and interviewing the models putting them at ease with his own inimitable brand of genial comedy.

In essence, the stars of each event are the many men and women from local Weight Watchers meetings who, for one night, can show how achieving their goal with Weight Watchers can release the confidence to do something they would never have thought possible.

Details on future shows are available at any Weight Watchers meeting.
