Homes in Ballykeel’s Barra Drive are from this week to have their flat roofs replaced by the Housing Executive (NIHE).
DUP Assemblyman Paul Frew has thanked NIHE for delivering on the project which he appealed to them for.
He stated: “I have been in constant contact with Housing Executive on this issue and have been pushing them to commence a flat roof replacement scheme in Barra Drive. I have received numerous complaints over the past few years about the state of the flats at Barra Drive and the amount of water that was leaking into them from the flat roof.
“Back in September they agreed that it made the criteria and they submitted proposals to replace all flat roofs on Barra Drive’s three storey dwellings.
“This will be a tremendous lift to the people of Ballykeel and will help with those who were experiencing difficulties in their homes or communal areas,” he said.
