The 162-page illustrated paperback publication - ‘West Church Ballymena “A Church of the Revival”’, has been compiled and written by Jennifer McLernon and Maurice Livingstone.

The congregation which is now known as West Church has had three beginnings - 1828, 1863 and 1926 - and the new book covers these in detail.

The packed contents include: the formation of the congregation and the first meeting place; Revival and the new building; West Church and the local community; the building, music and the church; the church and young people; church organisations; and, of course, details of the ministries of its various clergy over the years - the Revs Edward Fides Simpson, Dr Robert Scott Craig, Matthew George Evans, William James David Henry and current incumbent Daniel John Kane.

In his foreword to the book, Rev Kane said West Church is deeply indebted to its authors “for the time and effort they have spent in careful planning, meticulous research and the thoughtful production of this important book which teaches us all from the the past so that we can be better informed and more effective in the present and envisioned for the future.”
