Wife of 9/11 victim to speak at special seminar in Ballymena

THE wife of a victim of the terrorist attacks in New York on September 11 will be sharing her story at an event in Ballymena next week.

Elizabeth Turner will share her remarkable story at an event organised by a local company, just days after the 11th anniversary of the attacks.

As part of The Loop’s six-day leadership course, the Antrim company, The Loop Training Consultancy, is welcoming Elizabeth to join its delegates and the wider public at her only seminar in Northern Ireland on ‘change’.

The event will be held at Galgorm Manor on Tuesday, September 18, between 6.30-8.30pm.

Elizabeth will share her poignant story with visitors, which will include how she faced huge personal challenges over the last decade and how she dealt with accepting life-changing events.

Elizabeth’s husband Simon died on the 106th floor of the World Trade Centre.

Elizabeth was seven months’ pregnant at the time, and 18 months later her mum died of a degenerative illness, Multiple Systems Atrophy, and she found herself in a place where her ‘normal’ had gone and she had to completely rebuild her life from scratch.

Although Elizabeth’s story is of immense change, all businesses and people in leadership positions will experience change in their companies.

The Loop’s Leadership Programme has been specifically developed to help business owners and directors become the best that they can be.

It is an unconventional and challenging programme that both identifies individuals’ key strengths and works with delegates to develop and support their goals.

This event is free to attend but places are limited.
