Ahoghill and Ballymena into Scott Cup final
AHOGHILL will meet Ballymena in the final of the Midweek Triples League’s Connie Scott Memorial Cup.
Both came through their respective semi-finals in contrasting fashion last week.
Ballymena romped to a 33-shot win over current league leaders Antrim II, but Ahoghill were pushed all the way in a four-shot success over Broughshane.

Hide AdIndeed, Ahoghill lost on two of the three triples at the Knockan Road green, but Davy McNeill’s triple’s winning margin was enough to tip the overall balance in Ahoghill’s favour.

Antrim II 25, Ballymena 58: R McCullough 10, D Bamber 13; J Greenaway 13, J Millar 14; R Kennedy 2, J Elliott 31.
Broughshane 46, Ahoghill 50: WJ Surgenor 16, J Marks 12; P Johnston 19, B Greer 16; F Wilson 11, D McNeill 22.
The final will be played at Old Bleach on Friday, September 7.
